More About
Betsy was raised in New Paltz, NY surrounded by community, nature and creativity. She sought to deepen her roots here and raise her family in the Hudson Valley so that her children could experience childhood in this beautiful and unique setting. Betsy has worked as a pediatric Occupational Therapist for 13 years. She completed her 200-hour teaching certification at Stone Wave Yoga in 2020.

When studying the history of yoga for a presentation at her school, Betsy discovered that the Sun Salutations are essentially a centuries-old sensory strategy developed by high priests and scholars who knew that in order to be the best possible versions of ourselves and accomplish our calling, we must first be in a calm and regulated state. This lesson still holds true today, and is all the more needed in light of the fast-paced nature of our modern lives.

Betsy’s love, appreciation and gratitude for the practice of yoga continue to grow and bloom with each passing season. She is grateful for its power to connect us to ourselves, to others, to the present moment, and to a higher power. Betsy loves sharing the gift of yoga with others and is humbled and honored for the opportunity to serve as a guide through this practice.
