Hannah Fox, M.A., began studying yoga formally in 1991 in college. She began teaching yoga in 1998 on the West coast. Hannah completed her 200-hour yoga certification through Yogaworks in New York City in 2007. The training embraces the Krishnamacharya lineage combining Vinyasa, Ashtanga and Iyengar styles, with careful attention paid to alignment. Hannah has accumulated over 300 hours in continuing education credits studying with Seane Corn, Shiva Rea, Rodney Yee, Patricia Walden, Ana Forrest, Todd Norian, David Swenson, and at Kripalu. Hannah has been teaching at studios in both New Paltz and Westchester for the last 15 years. Hannah is also a dance and theatre professor. In all that she does, cultivating a sense of compassion (ahimsa), inwardly and outwardly, is the main objective. Hannah’s classes focus on breath, alignment, and compassionate playfulness. Hannah is a mom of a spirited 6 year-old boy who loves downward dog. She still practices on the same 20 year-old purple yoga mat. www.hannahkfox.com
