More About
Elitza started her asana practice started with books and VHS tapes, upon moving to Toronto in 2000. Her Bikram Yoga practice, that ensued shortly after was perfect for the Canadian chill. She completed her 500-hour teacher training with Bikram in Los Angeles in 2003. To the dismay of her friends and family, she made teaching her full time occupation- not exactly what was supposed to happen once one starts studying MBA in International Management on full scholarship.

Her proper 200-hour yoga teacher training was at Yoga Works NY in 2007, followed by certifications in Kids and Prenatal Yoga in 2008, and birth support doula in 20018. Since 2004 her main teacher-mentor has been the radical prana vinyasa flow catalyst Shiva Rea. She has around 2000 hours of studying with, and assisting Shiva globally on half the continents. She says that Shiva had sparked her awe and practice of the divine feminine. Parallel to Prana flow, she has done yin and restorative yoga intensives. David Life and Sharon Ganon have infused the love of prayer, chant and devotion in her practice. Seane Corn taught her to forge an authentic evolutionary connection to spirit. Elena Brower influenced her strongly with what being present with the mud and the lotus can look like. Dana Flynn taught her to fly, be wild and goofy and playful, especially in her 50s. Rodney Yee and Alison West have been rocks of inspiration in precision, discipline and mindfulness, locked in with wicked wit and an eye for the poetry of life.

She is fluent in a bunch of random languages. Her favorite language as a yoga teacher, life coach, mother and partner is sacred silence and active listening. She adores her fantabulous college teen, her man and her three cats. You can find her baking, gardening, chanting, smudging, reading, writing, running, hiking and being in awe most days. The rest of the time she does what we all do- “walk each other hOMe.”
