Reiki for Animals – Shoden Level 1

A two-day interactive program, Reiki for Animals – Shoden Level 1 provides a foundation for sharing Reiki with both humans and animals. Reiki is an ancient Japanese modality which utilizes the sharing of energy (chi) to promote wellness.  We will delve into the history, wisdom and benefits of a Usui-Reiki practice. Then, through meditation, discussion, practice and activities, we will experience what sharing energy feels like and how to offer it to others, especially animals!

If you want to learn…

  • What Reiki is and how it benefits humans and animals

  • Reiki practices for self and animals

  • Meditations to ground and focus your practice

  • How to translate a personal (human) practice to Reiki with animals

If you are…

  • An animal owner, caregiver, trainer, Veterinarian, or Veterinary Technician

  • An animal shelter owner or volunteer

  • Interested in Reiki for yourself, your animals, or other loved ones

  • New to Reiki or trained at any level from any lineage

… then please join us for a truly unique Reiki experience!

$225 for both days includes certificate and manual

*for Animal Shelter workers or volunteers, yoga instructors and veterinary technicians or veterinarians $175

Course Description

What will be covered in this course?

This 18-hour Meditation Teachers Certificate Course is designed to provide foundational skills for those who wish to guide students on the path of self cultivation through the practice of meditation.

We will focus on three pillars of meditation teaching: understanding of the meditation theory and concepts, personal practice and experience, and teaching methodology.

You will leave with a deeper sense of understanding of the mind, how meditation helps people experience more peace in their lives, and a curriculum to teach meditation courses of your own.

Methods: This course will share teaching materials, methodology, and best practices so that participants will be ready to design a meditation course of their own upon completion. We will discuss how to ‘meet students where they’re at’ and help make learning relatable for all ages, backgrounds, and even religious faiths.

Content: We will survey the eight limbs of Raja Yoga, basics of Karma, Bhakti, and Jnana Yoga, and identify places and resources for deeper study into texts and teachings. We will introduce the concept of Mindfulness from a Buddhist perspective and basics of Ayurveda and Chinese Medicine, to help provide transformational vocabulary and concepts.

Safe space: We will discuss what it means to hold space, hold safe space, and ethics of inviting transformational experiences.
