“Inner peace begins the moment you choose not to allow another person or event to control your emotions.” – Pema Chödrön
Kate’s yoga journey began in 2015 when she made the transition from college into the working world. Searching for a positive outlet to manage her anxiety and stress through this time of change, she found her way into her first Ashtanga class and instantly fell in love with the practice. After consistently practising Ashtanga, she eventually branched out to experience the transformative effects between mind and body of the many other types of yoga.
Aspiring to go deeper into her practice, she took her 200hr teaching training at Rise Yoga in Saratoga Springs, NY, which she completed in February 2017. Since then, she has worked with yogis of all levels, including seniors, to spread her passion. She is known for her lighthearted and compassionate approach to teaching students, incorporating the principles of mindfulness into her classes.
